Wonder Rail, and the Ouse Valley Railway Preservation Society are proud to be one of the top Southern Railway lines in the south-central section of the BR Southern Region. As such, we host a number of affiliate groups on the railway, most of whom own rolling stock. Below is a small synopsis of each group, their policies and their stock located on this line.

Southern Railway Society

Originally based at the doomed Heathfield Railway Centre, this group ceased running their stock on their own line and moved to White Rail in Scaynes Hill to run their operations, with most of their stock outsourced to other railways. When given notice to quit in April, the group requested to move some of its stock to the Ouse Valley Railway, and consequently the railway hosts N class 31406 and soon to be home to King Arthur class 30737 "King Uther". Such is the good relationship with ourselves, the group is now registered at Uckfield Station.

Redford Rail

Redford Rail is an outfit setup by Wonder Rail Co-CEO James Redford and is made up of the non-SRS stock that was based at the Heathfield Railway Centre. The group has a very close working relationship with ourselves as it is in James's best interest. Since the decision not to continue with a railway for its stock, the Ouse Valley is currently home to Battle of Britain 34062 "17 Squadron", Merchant Navy 35005 "Canadian Pacific" and BR Standard 4 80002. The latter of the 2 engines bought in for gala's and have not returned due to lack of space. The future of Redford Rail as a large outfit may be in doubt these days, with most attention being turned to help with Wonder Rail's 0 gauge projects, we may see them being absorbed into Wonder Rails operations in the near future.

Britannia Locomotive Group

With the news that this group wish to run their mainline and preserved operations from our humble line, we are happy to welcome them as the newest affiliate with Wonder Rail and the OVRPS. This group owns 2 members of the class, 70000 "Britannia" and 70004 "William Shakespeare". The latter of which was in a very poor state when saved from scrap and has never run in preservation. This engines first stint in steam since scrapping will be on the Ouse Valley Line, and eventually on mainline tours once the new Ouse Valley mainline connection is installed

Sussex Diesel Traction Group

The SDTG was set up as a small team of diesel enthusiasts interested in the upkeep of Wonder Rail's current diesel fleet consisting of 2 33's and a 73. The group leases these locomotives for a nominal sum in return for upkeep and maintenance on them. This provides the locomotives with a stable future and also due to the groups contacts would be a good ambassador for the Ouse Valley at the various diesel gala's that these locos, and the group are invited to. The group also hope to purchase various other items to add to the collection of southern diesels.
